West Coast v Port Adelaide – Match Sim Review

Despite it being “just a scratch match” there seemed to be a bit to play for when Port Adelaide visited West Coast for their 2023 Match Simulation and it was evident in the way a few players applied themselves that this was not going to be your ordinary game of glorified circle work.

Port boasted the additions of Junior Rioli, fresh off his West Coast tenure, and Jason Horne-Francis, who is perhaps the most written-about player in the game at the moment. Meanwhile, West Coast were debuting Jayden Hunt, formerly of Melbourne and welcoming back Campbell Chesser for his first run since injuring himself this time last year and missing the entire 2022 season.

Plenty of little wins for both teams in this one and HB was looking on to provide you with his takeaways.

Uh oh… paywall. We’re gonna cover as many practice games this weekend as technology and lack of sleep will allow for our members. As it turned out, it was ALL OF THEM! All preseason game coverage will be restricted and will not open up like our Home and Away reviews. Want to join us?
