Gold Coast v Essendon – Match Sim Review

The wind played havoc in the preseason hit out between the Bombers and the Suns, but afforded both Stuart Dew and Brad Scott the opportunity to try different structures both using the wind and defending against it.

As such, the game between Gold Coast and Essendon ebbed and flowed like the tides, with the Suns looking like a more polished outfit through the first two periods, with the Bombers settling after that to begin playing a more convincing brand of football.

We had some standouts and a few not-so-much. Let’s jump into the Mongrel Review of the match sim.
