There was a long period in this game where it looked as though the Dockers were going to kick themselves out of it.
As the first half started to come to a close, misses to Josh Treacy, Jye Amiss, and even Murphy Reid, saw Freo struggling to make an impact.

As 22 minutes ticked by in the second, and Freo appeared to be unable to hit the side of the barn from inside the barn, the worm turned. Patrick Voss goaled, and his effort was swiftly followed by Josh Treacy and Luke Jackson registering majors.
What could have been a very handy Geelong lead was whittled down to three goals.
It was a game, and in the second half, Freo came to play.
Riding a monster performance from Luke Jackson, and with their back six blanketing Jeremy Cameron, the Dockers surged to the lead. Credit to Geelong, they fought back hard, recapturing the lead for a time, but with over 55,000 in the house at the best stadium in Australia, the top-of-the-table Dockers were too good for the Cats.
It was a ripping game of footy for the most part, with Freo able to overcome both the Cats and their own goalkicking demons, and HB has ten things he learnt from watching this one.
