Villains – Byron Pickett

I’m sure we’ve all imagined what it’s like to play AFL Football at one time or another. Maybe we picture ourselves rising over the pack to take a screamer, or dribbling a goal from the boundary as the crowd goes nut. Or maybe it’s the shot after the siren that floats your boat?

But how many have put yourself in a situation that several players were forced to deal with over the years – you’re running to collect a loose ball. An opposition player is coming the other way. You have to commit to the contest, and whatever happens, you know the eyes of the football world are on you. Your coach, teammates, family… they all see it unfolding. Your eyes simply must stay on the football.

And the player coming the other way is Byron Pickett.
