The Dogs trotted out two thirds of a senior team in their match sim against the Hawks, with players like Marcus Bontempelli, Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, and Tim English playing the second of the contests for the day.
It was surprising, then, to see the Western Bulldogs come out and jump the Hawks with a six-goal opening quarter as the brown and gold struggled to hit the scoreboard, themselves.
Things levelled out in the second, with Hawthorn, smarting from being handled so easily, turning the tables to make a contest of it, but a strong second half from the Dogs once again opened up the margin as they cruised to a win at the Whitten Oval.
Plenty of new faces on display, with a few old ones standing head and shoulders above the rest.
Tim to jump into the action, highlights, and lowlights from the Hawks and Dogs match sim in 2024.
