Amid an injury crisis the club has not seen since… well, since last year, the West Coast Eagles are in a world of hurt.
With critics taking aim at both their list and injury management, it looks as though the powerhouse club from WA is headed for a bottom-three finish… though whether they can “beat” Hawthorn and North Melbourne in the race to secure Harley Reid remains to be seen.
Enough people are putting the boots to the Eagles while they’re down, but it is only a matter of time before the young players start improving and the club gets back on its feet, right?
Right?!?!
Rather than focus on the mistakes the club has made, or even where they’re at right now, it is prudent to explore just how the club will be able to rebuild their broken list over the next couple of seasons to ensure they are not in a vulnerable position once Tasmania starts hogging all the draft picks.
