The halfway point of the season is upon us and the contenders for the Mongrel Punt Defensive Player of the Year Award have well and truly distanced themselves from the field.

Overall, the top 12 in the league are in the position to pinch the award, with our leader holding steady for over a month at the top.

On a weekly basis, a Kangaroo had his best performance since moving to defence, whilst a couple of defensive mids, an adaptable Cat, and a Bomber all scored heavily.
