Mongrel Quickie – Why Harmes to the Dogs is a Bargain Pickup

A couple of days into the 2023 Trade Period and things are getting… interesting.

That could be the case, I suppose, if you consider 95% of period having nothing happen, only for an announcement here or there “interesting”.

Today, we saw some movement, with Ben McKay officially becoming a Bomber, the Kangaroos collecting pick three as compensation, and James Harmes switching postcodes to land at the Western Bulldogs.

It’s the latter deal that caught my attention, as James Harmes could just be the bargain for the 2023 trade period, and the Dogs may have finally recruited the type of player they’ve needed for a couple of years.
