2026 Match Sim – Carlton v Brisbane

The Lions hosted the Blues in the second of the 2026 Match Sims, with both teams having plenty worth looking at.

For the Blues, we had a host of new faces stemming from an offseason where there was plenty of movement at the club. Whilst at Brisbane, there were some returning from long-term injuries, as well as the first appearance of the former West Coast captain, Oscar Allen, in Lions colours.

In the end, Carlton were able to fight back from a poor first quarter, to run over the Lions late, buoyed by Talor Byrne, who bobbed up for three last-term goals.

Who starred? Who played new roles? Who leave me feeling a bit of concern about their performances?
