In their final hit out of the 2023 preseason, the Hawks and Pies put on a display that provided plenty of highlights and many hints as to how they’re approaching the season.
After being jumped and looking nowhere near it in the first 15 minutes, Hawthorn were able to pull Collingwood back, with the teams engaging in an entertaining, back-and-forth tussle for the remainder of the game. In great conditions in Launceston, we saw new faces, old favourites, and a few tactical moves that will no doubt impact how these teams set up heading into Round One.
So, without further ado, let’s jump into what we liked and disliked about the Pies and Hawks at UTAS Stadium.
