It took just one quarter for the Freo Dockers to put their stamp on this game.
After a disappointing finish to their Round One clash at Kardinia Park, Fremantle hit this contest like they had a point to prove.
With Andrew Brayshaw finding the footy at will, and Shai Bolton darting away from clearances, Freo put early distance on the visitors, and despite a brief but spirited stance by the Dees in the second quarter, Freo proved far too strong.
Kotlyn Tholstrup continued to establish himself as a run-with player, locking down on Caleb Serong, but Freo had the depth to cover his quiet game, and the power at both ends of the game to control the remainder of the contest.
Plenty to get through in this one – let’s jump into The Mongrel’s Big Questions from the big Docker win at home.

Oh… a Mongrel paywall… the worst of all paywalls. We’re all in on the 2026 AFL season. Player articles, stats, awards, game coverage. Dump the mainstream lip service and dive into articles like this – you will never look back. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. I consider it your loss as we get into the grind of the season, and you’re stuck with the stuff that’s frustrated you for years.
