It didn’t quite have the same intensity as your Home and Away Showdown, but Adelaide versus Port Adelaide always feels like I am getting to watch something a little bit special.
After a finals collapse, the Crows have looked inward for the type of improvement that puts a team over the top. They didn’t hit the trade period or free agency. They are looking to consolidate a game plan and a team, and go a couple of steps further than 2025.
As for Port, with a new coach in charge, they’re looking to be more competitive than they were in 2025, and when I hear Josh Carr speak, that translates to a more physical style of footy.
