If you talk to Fremantle supporters, they will tell you the one thing the AFL Media neglected to add to most stories about their club last season.
They were still very young.
Now, whether that is used as a reason, or an excuse, for their first-week exit in the 2025 Finals is irrelevant. What is relevant is that the Dockers have a unique opportunity to crack deep into September in 2026 with just a few tweaks to what was working the majority of the time last season.
That, and they have to grow up a bit and move away from the “team on the rise” garbage that tends to place a ceiling on clubs.
