Reid Receipts – The Harley Reid Conspiracy

The more I watch Harley Reid play football, the more I think he is umpired a little differently to other players.

Uh oh… you know what’s coming? HB has a conspiracy theory incoming, right?

You damn bet I’ve got one!

And to save people time and minimal effort in thinking up a name for it, I am just going to go with the basic – The Harley Reid conspiracy.

Oh yeah… I can feel you nodding along as I type, West Coast fans. And I reckon there are more than a few of you who absolutely believe this theory to be true.

Harley Reid is currently the leader for free kicks against in 2025. There is nothing wrong with that – he gets in amongst it and throws his weight around. He tries to beat tackles, and occasionally, he gets caught. He deserves some of the free kicks awarded against him, no doubt.

However, right now, it seems that Harley is on track to give away the most free kicks by non-ruck since Scott Thompson back in 2012. And I reckon there is a reason for it.
