There was a bit of chatter before, and around the start of the 2025 season, that the Hawks were going to contend for the flag.
I can see why – they were an exciting team to watch in 2024, and could have very easily been in the final four teams left in it, but for an errant James Siclly shot at goal, and an ensuing $20k plane imitation from Ken Hinkley.
However, after bolting out of the gate, we’ve hit the halfway point of the season with the Hawks pulling up a little lame.
How did this happen?
How did they get here?
And can they recover before it’s too late?
