The Lions jumped out of the gates, and for a little while, it looked as though we may have been about to witness a Thursday Night blowout.
However, a wasteful second quarter left the door ajar, and the Bombers barged right back into the game, as a result.
With their tails up, the Bombers suddenly gained the ascendancy in the third quarter, and it looked as though the Gabba fortress may fall, but as the rain tumbled, the Lions showed their class.
Led by Hugh McCluggage, who notched a career-best 41 touches, they were able to steady the ship and pick up the four points with an 18-point win.
That’s a pretty generic opening from me… I’m a bit disappointed.
No stupid comments.
No misspellings.
No talk about how Kai Lohmann’s hair looks like the sort of style you design when you get to create your own character in a video game, and it all goes wrong.
That must mean I am saving a bit for the review, itself.
