R6 – Brisbane v Collingwood – The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

We heard all about this over the course of the week – the Lions come home hard in the second half.

Did you hear it? If you hadn’t, how has the view been, considering your head has either been in the sand, or up your own backside.

It was all set up for it to occur again. The Pies led the premiers by 19 points at the main break, and when Oscar McInerney slotted the first of the third quarter, I sure many thought it was a sign of things to come. The Lions drew first blood and those hungry predators wanted some Magpie flesh!

And then the Pies basically stood up, eyeballed them, and said “Nup!”

From that point on, Collingwood kicked four-straight to jump out to 42-point lead, and were well on the way to a massive away win.

It was a comprehensive road win for the Pies, who forced Brisbane wide, controlled stoppages, and generally made the running far more than their opposition.
