The Next Group of Stars…

At the conclusion of Round Zero, the AFL had two burgeoning stars on its hands.

In one half of football, Will Day took whatever expectations the Hawthorn faithful had placed on him heading into the 2025 season and multiplied them.

And 48 hours later, it was Finn Callaghan doing the same for the GWS Giants.

In just one watered-down round of football, things changed for both clubs.

Both for the better.

Every club searches for their next star, and whilst Round One may well bring the two mentioned back to earth, both Callaghan and Day demonstrated enough to indicate that on their day, they had the potential to take over a game of footy. And that, my friends, is how stars are born.

But what about the other clubs? Who are the players that are the next bunch to make another step toward stardom and give their supporters belief?

Oh yeah… you know The Mongrel has your back on this one. This is part one of two… or maybe three depending on how I go, time-wise.
