AAMI Series – Fremantle v Melbourne – The Big Questions

In the 2025 AAMI Series, this was the one clash I was most looking forward to.

Of all teams in the competition, these two probably have the most questions surrounding them, and for vastly different reasons.

For the Dees, the questions revolve around whether their stars can get back to being the players that made them household names. Clayton Oliver had a horror 2024, whilst Christian Petracca’s season ended abruptly when he came out on the bad side of a collision with Darcy Moore’s sharp knee.

As for the Dockers, the questions are all about how far they can go. With a talented list, and maturing stars, there are quite a few jumping on the purple bandwagon. Can they ride it to September, or will it tip over, causing people to jump off?

In 34-degree heat, the Dees visited the Dockers at Mandurah. Here’s what went down, in the form of The Mongrel’s Big Questions.
