I don’t get much time to do it, these days, but I am a big fan of old Western movies, and I like nothing better than to make a coffee, sit back and watch the clear distinction between the good guys and the bad guys unfold in the wild west.
At one point, filmmakers were so formulaic that they made it easy for audiences – unmissable cues, almost. The good guys wore the white hats. The bad guys wore the black ones. Apparently, audiences were easily confused, back then.
As we head into the last two weeks of the season, one team has decided to abandon its search for the white hat. They’ll remain heroes to their faithful, but outside of that, they’ll be wearing the black hat.
That team is the Port Adelaide Power.
