Riding the Rachele-Coaster

Is a bit too late to take a leaf out of the Sydney Swans’ “Bloods” playbook to implement a no-dickheads policy at the Adelaide Crows?

Maybe they could entertain it?

The news the club is dropping Josh Rachele the week after an incident-packed Showdown indicates that Matthew Nicks is not exactly thrilled with what he saw from his young star in the making.

Perhaps it was what he saw and heard in the lead up to the clash, or perhaps it was what occurred on the day, but the fact that Rachele will be sitting and watching the senior side in the last week of the season could be both a good thing for him, or a bad thing for the club.

Rachele has been a polarising figure at the Crows this season. His penchant for seeking the limelight is understandable – he is 21, after all. His habit of shrinking when the lights get a little too bright… that is a serious concern.
