Around this time of year, teams start getting a bit jumpy when it comes to uncontracted players.
“I’m putting off contract talks until after the season” is a catch cry of the player looking to leave, and we’ve heard it on a couple of occasions in 2024.
Most recently, it has been Josh Battle suggesting he will defer contract talks until the Saints have run their race for the time being, and given the staggering amount of money you hear associated with clubs chasing him, it’d be a miracle if he stayed.
But there are plenty of others who could be on the move, particularly given their situations at their current clubs.
Here are some I’d keep a close eye on over the next month.
