I may seem harsh to put the acid on the Gold Coast Suns a week after, possibly, their biggest win of the season, but here we are.
Sure, they not only beat the reigning premiers, but they did what so many other teams have failed to do.
They answered the challenge when the Pies came at them.
And now, after a season of extremes – extremely good when their name appears first in the fixture, and extremely poor when they’re the visitors, the Suns face the prospect of playing the possible wooden spooners on the road, in an effort to pick up their first genuine away game of the season.
Surely, they don’t cock this one up, right?
They couldn’t, could they?
