The clock is ticking down to the start of the 2024 AFL pre-season and you can now start to feel the excitement. Intraclub hit outs are occurring as I type, and soon enough, teams will experiment in the bedroom… errr, in practice matches, as well
I’m pretty excited, myself – I’ve just finished the 18 season previews and once again, they took up the entirety of January and ate into the start of February, as well. At about 7K words each… they kind of kill me.
However, the good thing about the end is that it means I can jump back into regular programming before footage of intraclub games starts rolling out and we can get a good gander at what teams are planning for the 2024 season.
At every club, there are plans extending way beyond this year into the seasons beyond, and as much as I would like to focus on on-field stuff and the here and now, the looming free-agency of several players is an issue that has to be addressed.
So, with that in mind, let’s take a bit of a look at some of the biggest signatures in the game in 2024.
