Help Needed – Bont in 2024

There can be no question that Marcus Bontempelli held up his end of the bargain in 2023. None whatsoever.

As leader of the Western Bulldogs, Bont once again cemented his standing in the game with a career-best season in disposals (27.65), tackles (7.48), and clearances (7.61). The heart and soul of the team was also its workhorse, doing a bit of everything for the Bulldogs as they struggled through a disappointing season to finish in the dreaded ninth place.

And whilst Libba was enormous in his own role, in and under, support for the superstar mid was not quite what he needed to propel his team into September.

As we look forward to the 2024 season, how does Luke Beveridge create enough of the right support around Bont, and where do the Dogs go from here?
