Emerging Stars Not Named Daicos

Every once in a while, you get a talent emerge in the league that stands out. We’re seeing that now, with Nick Daicos taking his already-impressive rookie season and building on it to become one of the best handful of players in the game. And it’s just year two of his career.

When something like this occurs, we can be a little guilty of having tunnel vision. It is hard to see past the brilliance of the brightest star, but there are plenty of other lights whose talents warrant some attention.

And it is probably a little unfair.

Had it not been for the ascension of Daicos, who else would we be looking at as the best young talents in the game?

Before we kick off, I know there will be some names I get called out for if they are not mentioned, so in order to avoid that… unpleasantness, I will give a couple of quick parameters to work within – the players listed must have been drafted over the last two years and must be 20 years old or less. Pretty simple, right?

That means no Nic Martin, Bomber fans – he was a late bloomer.

Let’s go.
