Is Grundy… Gawn?

The Dees may have got out of jail with a last-gasp win over the Lions on Friday night, but the evening went from bad to worse for their prized recruit, Brodie Grundy. With Max Gawn putting on a show as the lone ruck in a team that many thought would have the best one-two punch in the league, the chances of an immediate recall into the senior side took a hit.

The question many are asking, or will be asking, revolves around how, or even if Grundy works his way back into a Melbourne team that just got a game for the ages from their captain. How do you muscle in on what Gawn provided to give Grundy another chance when the alternative was just so damn good?

And where does that leave Brodie Grundy?
