It’s funny – there are two types of clubs when it comes to risk in the AFL.
Some clubs will throw caution to the wind in pursuit of that elusive silverware, whilst others are a little more reserved – some would say calculated. Often, a club will bounce from one extreme to the other, with varying results. Some buikd via the draft, then hit the trade table to round out their lists. Others use trades to sustain a period of success. Others fail in the attempt.
With some big names being floated as potentially moving this coming off-season, it is always interesting to get a gauge on what fans would be happy for their club to pay for players.
So, let’s throw some names out there and see what you’d be willing to part with to get your hands on them.
And please note – we are looking at potential trade targets only. No free agents will be listed as you don’t have to pony up anything to get your hands on them… except cash.
Oh, what the hell? A Mongrel paywall? Yep, I believe my work is worth twenty cents per day. If you don’t, that’s fine. Don’t complain, though.
