Port Adelaide v Western Bulldogs – The Bold Statements

Where are the haters at?

Come on, now – I know you’re out there. You, the people who wanted the coach sacked, who talked down the Port Adelaide Power at the commencement of the season… you were so loud earlier this year – where are you?

All quiet now, aren’t ya?

With their fifth interstate win of the season, this time over the Western Bulldogs, Port made it ten wins in a row in 2023 as they left no doubt as to their premiership credentials.

Led by the incomparable (at the moment) Zak Butters, a strong defensive effort from Aliir Aliir, and a combative ruck performance from Scott Lycett, Port managed to stave off a challenge from the Dogs in the last quarter to take the chocolates by 22-points at Marvel Stadium.

Let’s try something a little different tonight (says HB once again, only this time I am saying it to you and not Mrs Mongrel. Hopefully I get a better response!)

Let’s jump into The Mongrel’s Bold Statements and see what is right and what is a little fabricated.

Oh, what the hell? A Mongrel paywall? Yep, I believe my work is worth twenty cents per day. If you don’t, that’s fine. Don’t complain, though. Sometimes, I open these reviews up after 24 hours or so. Sometimes, I don’t. There is no favouritism… I just don’t.
