Richmond v GWS – The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

As a neutral, there are some games that can really draw you in and others that just can’t.

The encounter between the Tigers and Giants was one definitely in the category of the former, as former GWS Best and Fairest winner, Tim Taranto visited his old stomping ground in a bid for his new team to breathe life into their season.

The Giants, similarly, were looking to maintain a tenuous grip on their slight September hopes, and a win on home soil over the Tigers would have propelled them past both Richmond and Carlton.

There was a heap on the line in this one and the teams played as though there was. Bodies flew into the contest, young blokes stood up, and in the end, a thrilling finish saw Marlion Pickett produce a couple of minutes of magic to become the match-winner for the Tigers .

Let’s get on with the Good, Bad, and the Ugly of Richmond’s win over the Giants in a belter.
