Walking Taller – Luke Parker to Join North Melbourne

There will be plenty of movement this coming trade period, with some big names tipped to change colours. Bailey Smith has nominated the Cats. Liam Baker wants to go to the Eagles. Dan Houston’s future is up in the air, as well. Even Clayton Oliver’s name is being thrown around again.

However, one of the less-heralded moves, and one with the lowest potential price tag, could well make the biggest impact.

It may sound strange to talk up the move of Luke Parker to North Melbourne, when there are players in the prime switching clubs. He believed he had more to give.

And North Melbourne knew the time was overdue to replace the man who used to make their midfield walk taller.
