Usually, in these reviews I look for the positives for both teams. How am I supposed to do that with North Melbourne, after the Demons gave them a big whack at Casey Fields in their 2026 Match Sim?
It was warm, but the Demons were hot, as they piled on the goals and made North look second rate.
“It’s only a Match Sim,” will be a phrase heard a little too much around Arden Street over the coming days, but after watching Melbourne dismantle North, two things became abundantly clear.
One – reports of Melbourne’s demise might be a little premature.
And two – optimism around North’s potential in 2026 just took a massive nosedive.
