If you were in charge of the Port Adelaide Football Club, what would you do with Jack Lukosius this season?
I know the question might prompt some pretty average answers from Non-Port supporters, but I am genuinely interested in how Port can best use their 2025 recruit, who was basically lost to them last season due to injury.
The easy answer is to say he’s a forward. Ken Hinkley thought he was, and so did both Stuart Dew and Damien Hardwick, although Dew did opt to move him to defence for a fair while, and to the wing at times.
He was one of the Power’s higher-profile recruits, expected to provide a marking target inside 50, and take some of the heat off Mitch Georgiades. However, with only seven games to his name last year, that didn’t quite work out, but there are hopes that 2026 will see Jack emerge as a solid second option inside 50 for the Power.
How likely is this? And will we see Lukosius in other roles as the season progresses?
Well, that’s what I am here to dive into.
