No Winners – How Everyone In The Failed Merrett Trade Lost This Trade Period

You’re going to read and listen to a lot of opinion about the failed Zach Merrett move to Hawthorn during the 2025 trade period.

Amazingly, the teams were unable to come to an agreement on the move, with both parties claiming the other is at fault, and both sets of supporters claiming it was a good thing that the deal fell through.

Crazy stuff.

If anything, this failed venture highlighted just how stupid trade period, and the people involved are. Let me break it down for you.
