This was a must win for the Sydney Swans at a venue they seldom visit.
Against a young Tiger team that has demonstrated they can be tough to handle if they get their tails up, Sydney made the mistake of giving Richmond a start, and for a little while, it appeared as though the Tigers liked their chances.
As they walked to the huddles after the first break, Richmond were the better team, and it appeared as though we may have been about to witness another tale of the young Tigers coming of age.
And then the Swans pumped the brakes, and Richmond screeched to a halt. With pressure through the middle, the Swans were able to turn the tide, and held the Tigers goalless for over an hour of game time, whilst the class of Heeney, Warner, and the best tagger in the game, James Jordon, gave Sydney the jolt they needed, and sparked them into action.
It was all Swans from that point on, as they started to regain a bit of the swagger that made them the toast of the footy world at this time last season.
But what does it all mean, and how much of it can we trust?
HB has a look at the Sydney win over Richmond, and what it means both now, and going forward, for both teams.
