Is Belief a Four-Letter Word at Moorabbin?

Prior to the start of the 2025 season, the “experts” jumped off the Saints in a big way.

“Bottom four” seemed to be the words that often slipped from their lips when they spoke of the Saints’ chances in 2025, but after a 3-1 start, St Kilda are looking anything but a bottom four side, and with plenty of talent set to return over the coming weeks, there is a sense at Moorabbin that things may not be anywhere near as bad as they were made out to be.

Truth is, they rarely are.

I want to throw something out there, and you can make of it what you will – in 2024, the Brisbane Lions won just three more home-and-away games than the Saints.

Perhaps their 2025 revival should not have come as a shock?
