The Mini Showdown – Power v Crows Match Sim Review

A great crowd turned out at Mount Barker to watch the two South Australian teams lock horns in a Mini-Showdown a couple of weeks out from the AFL season, and if you’re a fan of the Crows, you would have been pretty content with what you saw.

In a six-period game (we’re mainly covering the first four), the Crows used a second-period blast to put distance between them and the Power, kicking six goals against the wind to stamp their authority on the contest.

Port came in with a pretty suspect defence, with Aliir Aliir the lone established “big” back there, and the Crows took little time in exposing them. Riley Thilthorpse snagged a couple of early ones, and Tex bobbed up, as well.

Plenty to get through in this one. Let’s jump into The Mongrel’s Talking Points from the Crows and Power in the hills.
