Rinse/Repeat – It’s Prelim Final Week And Geelong Are Playing

It’s the middle of September, and you know what that means?

It means the Geelong Football Club is in the mix for a Premiership. It’s the way of things.

Sitting back, with a week off before playing a Preliminary Final, the Cats would have been smiling.

As the footy world jawed about one of their former players, Ken Hinkley, the big Brisbane comeback, the murder of Hok-Ball, and all manner of things Semi-Final-Related, the Geelong Football Club went about their business, preparing for what will be their 13th Prelim appearance in the last 17 years.

Ridiculous stuff.

And somehow, they’re still managing to fly under the radar.

What is it about this side from down the highway that sees them continue to thumb their nose at the AFL’s equalisation measures? And what is it about the AFL Media that they’re so blind to what is consistently occurring with this club that refuses to do what is expected of them, externally, and continues to raise expectations on themselves, internally?
