At this point of the season, there are a multitude of disillusioned AFL supporters. Their teams are no good. They are, at best, making up the numbers, and even though the supporters are still watching games and looking for signs, their focus is shifting towards the draft, free agents, trade possibilities, and the 2025 season.
That’s a lovely, bright outlook, isn’t it? Halfway through the 2024 season and you’re already looking at next year? And in the AFL, there is always next year.
As we head toward Round 14, let’s start having a look at the teams that seem destined to finish the season in the bottom half of the ladder, and see where the positives are, where the negatives are, and where the opportunities are.
