After a first half that saw both teams hit the scoreboard heavily, it was only one side that managed to maintain the rage after halftime.
The Adelaide Crows turned on the jets in the third quarter, treating the Kangaroos with disdain as they dominated play and made North look like they were standing still. The seasoned stars and developing players combined to overpower their younger opponents as they restricted North to just three second-half goals, whilst adding nine of their own to run out comfortable 66-point winners.
Initially, this wasn’t supposed to be my game to cover. One of our writers had his laptop explode into a million pieces… or stop working – I don’t know – but I am a fan of the Crows this season; they’re one of the best teams in the competition to watch. I have also enjoyed what North have provided, and took the opportunity to see exactly where they’re falling down.
